Best piece of creative work.
From PlanetMinecraft.com: (http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/zeriathos-sky-port-head-into-the-clouds-entry/)
I think it would be a stretch to try and claim that my chosen art form over the last couple years is by any means conventional. Minecraft is, after all, a game. However, it has also been both my primary source and outlet for creative inspiration in a context where I was not otherwise exposed to art and design regularly. The image above is from a large project (or "build") I did a couple years ago for an online Minecraft design competition; among two hundred or so people the entry came in tenth.
A great piece of architecture.
From TitanDoors.com.au; (http://www.titandoors.com.au/project/sydney-opera-house/index.html)
It may come across as lazy to pick something so close to home, but when someone says "great architecture," the Sydney Opera House is definitely one of the first buildings come to mind. My fascination with the Opera House is twofold. Firstly, I love the aesthetic. It's arching roofs are distinctive and striking, and yet sit perfectly among its surroundings without clashing. Secondly, having lived in Sweden for most of my life, it represents a link between my two worlds. Designed by a Danish architect, its over a million tiles manufactured in Sweden, and one of the most iconic buildings in Australia.
An original photograph of something beautiful.
Original photograph, 11 August 2016.
Last year myself and a friend decided to cycle from our town in Sweden to my summer house approx. 300km north, in two days. While the journey was hard, the nature we experienced was magnificent. Towards the end of the second day, with a fair way still left to go, this scene was a beautiful one to pause and admire, while feeling proud of how far we'd come.
